Applicants should have a Secondary School Diploma.
OR
Applicants 16 years of age on September 30 of the current school year must have obtained credits for Secondary IV courses in the language of instruction, second language and mathematics, or equivalent studies recognized in accordance with sections 232 or 250 of the education Act.

Applicants 18 years of age or over must have the functional prerequisites stipulated in section 465 of the Education Act.
