Online through ACCESS: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (offered exclusively online with the exception of exams done in-person, at ACCESS Cleghorn -163 Cleghorn Street, Saint-Lambert, QC)

Why enroll in this program?

Earn a Skills Training Certificate that will allow you to work in the daycare services of an elementary school and have a positive impact in the education of our children! This course is a prerequisite to work in a school daycare and to be eligible for the position of Daycare Educator First Class.

With 6 campuses located on the South Shore of Montreal, ACCESS has been a resource for the Riverside School Board community for over 40 years, empowering individuals who are 16 and older in their ongoing quest for academic and professional success.

Program objectives

  • At the end of the program, students will be able to organize, prepare and lead a variety of before and after school activities that promote, as part of the school's educational project, the overall development of students while ensuring their well-being and safety.

Special features of the program

To be eligible for admission to the School Daycare Educator program leading to a Skills Training Certificate (STC), candidates must meet the following requirements:
• Hold a Secondary School Diploma (SSD) or its equivalent
• Be at least 18 years of age
